The white threads of Monse Resort/Spring 2023

18th, September 2022 by Anna Gooss

The Monse Spring 2023 collection has opened fashion week season at The Battery Bosque in New York. Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia founded the NY-based brand in 2015, and in a relatively short amount of time they have established a distinctive aesthetic style which makes Monse really stand out from the crowd.

In the Spring 2023 collection, Monse has introduced more contemporary and youth looks. There are crop tops connected with white laces on the shoulders and chest as deconstructing elements, and denim crop jackets in white and navy paired with cargo diagonal cut mini skirts in a trendy pinstripe. Sheer petticoats in black tulle fabric and black corsetry are among the highlights of the collection, along with molded tulle skirts with massive cargo pockets paired with hoodies and corset tops in black, white and khaki. The white threads which Monse uses as connected elements have been inserted into tops, dresses, pants and a jacket, giving an assembled look.

For those who can’t accept crop tops, jackets and corsetry as everyday wear, there is also a perfectly cut coat, and shirts in a trendy organza fabric.
