The heritage greek brand has been famous for its high quality natural fabrics and timeless appeal for more than a half of century
The aesthetic of Normcore in the Winterlude AW 23-24 collection by Parthenis is elegant and flattering. Devoted to its ongoing commitment to sustainability, high-quality natural fabrics, effortless elegance and capturing the essence of modern life, the brand’s collection showcased their updated perspective on bare minimum at The Ellinikon Experience Park, Athens on June 9.
The Parthenis brand is a Greek fashion label founded by Dimitris Parthenis in the early 1970s. Today his daughter Orsalia Parthenis keeps alive the tradition of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to merge traditional Greek elements with modern design, keeping the brand timeless and youthful.

The collection included 22 pieces designed for urban life in green, dusty pink, and dark and dune hues. The male version of Normcore by Parthenis is a collarless oversized beige cashmere coat with large pockets paired with relaxed trousers and beanie in the same colour, contrasting with a black turtleneck wool sweater. The female outfit featured a modified boxy blue vest on top of a pussy-bow blouse, made of punto di roma knit fabrics in moss green, paired with trousers in similar shades and a final touch of black high heeled shoes with crystal-encrusted adjustable straps by Tsakiris Mallas, a Greek shoe brand.

If I were to give my opinion of the brand in two words, they would be: longevity and minimalism. Coupled with attention to detail and an ability to merge traditional Greek elements with modern design sensibilities, the brand remains a symbol of Greek fashion and is testament to Parthenis’ legacy as a prominent Greek fashion designer.
