At this New York fashion week Michael Kors submitted the bohemian resort collection, “Urban life”. The fashion show took place in Manhattan, near West Village on September 15. Involving top list supermodels Bella Hadid, Adut Akec, Natasha Poly, Malgosia Bela, Anok Yai and the Hollywood star Anne Hathaway, who was sitting next to Anna Wintour, gave the feeling of something big at the beginning of the show.
Who knows better than Michael Kors how to make the “sexy and sporty” style look natural? Since 1981 the brand has established itself as one of the leading players in the fashion industry. Little known Kors was the creative director at Celine in 1997 and his role has influenced the brand a lot. His talent to make ordinary pieces extraordinary has no rivals. What we see in today’s collections highlights his peerless craftsmanship.
The collection includes 65 looks. Architecturally constructed jackets, flowing dresses, sculptural belts and frisky fringes all in tones of pearl, silver, dune, electrifying red and tropical lime. As Kors commented: “The colour for people who never wear colour”.
The tropical lime monochrome look is a disarming argument for those who had concerns about bright colours. This argument crumbles at the sight of the moulded, double-breasted jacket with a sporty-style bra-top underneath paired with low-waist classy trousers and a small clutch bag in harmony with the whole flamboyant look.
A more subdued look paired front-pleated, wide pearl trousers with a belt and a low halter neck in the same colour, and created a clash of two styles which magnetise.
Hair slicked back, it seems that a new hairstyle trend is established if you take a look at Coperni and Proenza Schouler you will notice that.
All these items hit the store in spring/summer 2023. But the winter 2022 the legendary Faux Fox jacket with a Glen Plaid Tweed Scissor Skirt, an iconic searingly yellow suit which was a hit in the biggest fashion magazines this autumn, and so many other practical and stylish garments are available in stores and online.
