Summer is about to begin and I’ve prepared eight summer clothes trends for 2020 which you’re soon going to be seeing in almost all the shops.
This summer popular colours will include lavender and blue, as we saw in the designer’s shows and on influencer’s socials during FW.
What to choose and where to buy depends on your budget and Mass Market retailers are already helping us with their options, which means these colours will be everywhere this season.
Beside this I have noticed that in this Summer 2020 we be will wearing:
1. Knee length wide shorts. Designers recommend styling these shorts with jackets as a set but for summer time they could be mixed with shoulder pad t-shirts or just a simple t-shirt or blouse.
2. Mini shorts. This is the most difficult trend for me, I think these shorts should either be worn with a long jacket or shirt or be worn on the beach. Otherwise they are quite uncomfortable especially if you need to carry supermarket bags with a child in one hand and a dog in another. But I saw on instagram some super-women who can do it in their mini-shorts; for me they’re heroes. I’m going to wear my mini shorts with a long jacket and shoulder pad t-shirt or on the beach with a long shirt.
3. Bra-top. The best option is to mix it with wide leg trousers and oversized jacket.
4. Acid wash denim. My acid wash denim is a pair of jeans I bought 7 years ago and still wear, why not? The sensible clothes consumer can save the planet and their budget.
5. Rope belts. This is a really ‘wow’ look. After FW20/21 fashion weeks the rope belts will stay for the next season too. I already have one but I’m going to buy a couple more.
6. Shoulder pads t-shirt. This item can make some people look too small and others look too big. The rule is to buy t-shirts with small pads if your shoulders are big; in this case choose an imitation shoulder pad t-shirt. I, on the other hand, have quite a big head and small shoulders and t-shits with huge pads balance my body size.
7.Lavender. Clothes, shoes, accessories, and swimwear will be in colours from this palette.
8. Colored leather garments.
In conclusion I would like to say, try to select and make a conscious decision about what items will really work for you and what you will definitely wear for more than 1 season.
